The utter hypocrisy of the evangelical GOP...

...sickens me. Whether or not you personally believe in a end time "rapture" or not, the fact that they are using it as a smack back to the Obama administration is utterly reprehensible and even Jesus Christ himself would not be amused.
I saw a sign on a Baptist church today in Greenville that read "God's stimulus plan: the Rapture!". Here you have a bunch of so called Christians mocking something that the government feels, in their ELECTED right to do so, will help fuel our nation towards economic growth and these people want to use religion to justify their snub of it. I find it so funny that these are the same people who gathered together for a tea party protesting taxes YET never found the time or energy to do the exact same thing when King George III was spending our money like it was growing on trees and spitting on the Constitution as well.
These same "lovers of Christ" did not mind one single dime spent to fuel an idiotic war in Iraq that claimed the lives of their own sons and daughters plus countless innocent Iraqi civilians, yet want to raise immortal hell about their tax dollars going to help fellow Americans who, whether they care to admit it or not, are not in their financial shape of their own choosing. Some are yes, most aren't due to the recent economic downturns BROUGHT ABOUT by the failure of the previous administration to regulate financial institutions properly.
Maybe Jeanine Garafolo had it right after all? They praise Jesus with their lips, but yay their hearts are far from him, saith the word of Isaiah. Even Jesus proclaimed "Render unto Caesar what is duly Caesars and unto God what is God's." The evangelical GOP pundits make me sick!!!
