Who is your favorite talking head, and why?

Glenn Beck?
Tammy Bruce?
Ann Coulter?
Susan Estrich?
Sean Hannity
Britt Hume?
Rush Limbaugh?
Rachel Maddow?
Chris Matthews?
Bill Moyers?
Keith Olbermann?
Bill O'Reilly?
Ed Schultz?
Nina Totenburg?

i dont either, but i like eddie... kinda regret turning down an internship with him in 2002-2003. i didnt figure progressive talk was going anywhere... i was hosting a show on campus radio, but didn't see a future in it.

ah well.

and matthews is a cool guy in person... his tv persona is a little over the top... but he's a tough philly pol and a real mensch.

I love O'Reilly and Beck. O'Reilly is not a Republican like you liberals claim, he is a right leaning moderate. He bashes the Democrats as much as he bashes the Republicans. And when compared to the most hateful person on TV, Keith Olbermann, he does pay respect to our President. Watch his show, you'll see he is giving Obama a chance.

Beck on the other hand is just an interesting thinker. He's more of a conservative for sure, but he has a great hatred of the GOP, especially if you listen to his show. I love his radio show more, but his TV show is catching on quite a bit.

Of the liberals,
Schultz and Maddow are two I can stand. I absolutely can't stand Keith Olbermann. He is the most hateful man on TV in my eyes.

None of the above.

I don't listen to any of the yo-yo's and prefer to get my information the old fashioned way, from the newspaper (paper or online).

Britt Hume is the best in the business; most fair and most professional. It's all about the news, the analysis, and the opinions of his panel. It's not about himself.

Chris Matthews is intelligent and interesting. Though highly partisan, he at least allows his guests to finish their sentences.

Hannity needs to let his fcvking guests finish their sentences!

In addition to her intelligence and class, Susan Estrich comes across as a good person. Of course I have no way to know, but I hope I am right.

Glenn Beck is the most viscerally satisfying.

Keith Olbermannn is a less-than-worthless loser who should just give himself the "worst person in the world" award at the outset of every show.

Tammy Bruce is interesting, funny and fair.

Rachel Maddow is tiresome.

Ed Schultz serves boring mush.

Both Rush and O'Reilly are a little too full of themselves.

If I could only watch two, I would watch Hume and Matthews, and that is who I voted for.

I'm sure they all offer companionship and comfort to the millions of disoriented drones that have no sense of direction of their own. Much the way the Bible once did before politics became the new religion.

I picked Olbermann. Hannity and O'Reilly are both douchebags. Beck is decent as is Ed Schultz. The rest...eh...

Olbermann is the most hateful man on TV.
O'Reilly isn't even a Republican, why do liberals hate him so much. At least he shows respect to our President, unlike Olberloser back under Bush.

I picked Olberman, loved him from his ESPN days & he does what it takes to piss off O'Reilly & the religious right.

The libs hate anyone who suggests that they grow up and be responsible.

I am a conservative Republican. O'Reilly is in no way, shape, or form a conservative Republican. He is a right leaning centrist on almost every issue. Why don't you watch his show instead of watching the hate speech on MSNBC at the same time...

O'Reilly has always and will always blow out everyone at the 8pm timeslot.

I don't watch MSNBC. But the main purveyors of hate speech around are right wingers like Savage, Rush, Beck and Hannity.

And if you think O'Lielly is a centrist, then you are insane. Sorry dude, but you are so wrong on this.

O'Reilly is not a centrist, but a populist social conservative.

Savage could be called hate speech. I left him off the list.

The rest? Nah.

Conservative populist...
Is that what O'Reilly is masquerading as these days
That's good stuff - seriously hysterical... thank you

BTW: Anybody who's told what their talking points are - what the proper slant on "the other media" is - and what to be outraged about... is a puppet with a TV show

but, I guess he has to have a label so we know what to call him... thanks

Well in that light, O'Reilly must be a "cat," because he has wait-staff, and Beck must be a "dog," since he seems to come up things a little more off the cuff. A ruff cuff I might add.

I'm not even sure Hume belongs on the same list as most of these other windbags, the guy is professional and more about the news than himself. His show was one of the few I could actually watch start to finish.

As for the list I can't stand Olberman or Rush, I'll shut anything off as soon as I hear their voice. Shultz is fine when he isn't talking about politics, he used to have a radio show in Fargo that focused on some politics but it was mostly local stuff. It was solid, but his political shows get about as tiresome as listening to Hannity.

Ain't it the truth...

I watch Beck, who IMHO has the most ACCURATE read of any talking head.

O'Reilly has some good guests, and like you said, native, unlike most others he's not afraid to put the fire to both sides. Libs don't like him because he won't pull punches when they f'up.

Hannity is a drum beater.

Hume and Limbaugh only look at the right side of the equation, and Maddow and Olbermann only look at the left...all four let their hate of the opposition overwhelm common sense.

Schultz puts me to sleep, and Estrich has trouble focusing on the core issues.
