And so it went Friday morning when WLS radio host Erich "Mancow" Muller decided to subject himself to the controversial practice of waterboarding live on his show.
Mancow decided to tackle the divisive issue head on -- actually it was head down, while restrained and reclining.
"I want to find out if it's torture," Mancow told his listeners Friday morning, adding that he hoped his on-air test would help prove that waterboarding did not, in fact, constitute torture.
The debate over whether waterboarding constitutes torture reached a fever pitch this week as re-ignited claims that Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) knew as early as 2002 about waterboarding techniques being used, and former Vice President Dick Cheney and President Barack Obama gave "dueling speeches" Thursday.
Turns out the stunt wasn't so funny. Witnesses said Muller thrashed on the table, and even instantly threw the toy cow he was holding as his emergency tool to signify when he wanted the experiment to stop. He only lasted 6 or 7 seconds.
"It is way worse than I thought it would be, and that's no joke,"Mancow said, likening it to a time when he nearly drowned as a child. "It is such an odd feeling to have water poured down your nose with your head back...It was instantaneous...and I don't want to say this: absolutely torture."

I'm not saying it's not torture. But this asshole almost drowned as a child and thought he could take waterboarding?

put his money where his mouth was... earn one man card.
being willing to change your mind when evidence to the contrary emerges... earn one man card.
now... michael savage, dick cheney, sean hannity, et al... your turn.
it's amazing how everyone who has ever been through it says it's torture... maybe that's because it is.

Really? Fair enough then. Maybe that's what makes waterboarding torture. I think the idea of torture is having no end in sight. If i knew I wuold be let go, if I knew i could end it at anytime, I would go through it, of course. The problem with the waterboarding, is the prisoners don't have a cow to throw.

Mancow is a pompous ass and probably deserved it (along the lines of the love child of Rush Limbaugh and Howard Stern).
It does say something when he admits it's torture.

Hey, Wideload, sometimes Conks are wrong about shit. Learn that. Keep it in your back pocket.
I wasn't aware Manchow was a right-winger. I listened to him in he mid-80's and he wasn't a Rushie, by any means. Must be another CINO following Rush cash.
Hannity next? Cheney?

If you ever hung out at a municipal pool as a kid, you got bullied by older kids who would hold your head under water until you started burbling. No fucking duh it's torture, and good for this dude to try it out.
Check the stupidity of this cucking funt talking about how waterboarding is just "enhanced interrogation."

SMFH, does the whack-o conks get all their intelligence from Hannaty and O'Really??
Wake up and use your God given brains folks, and quit letting the Faux News pukes do your thinking for you.

Mancow was in Cali in the 80's, came to Chicago in the 90's. I believe the right wing-nut started to come out after 2000 or so but I stopped listening to him long before that so I can't be sure.

No matter what kind wackjob he is, he walked his talk, and that puts him head and shoulders above a certain fat junkie and his ilk.

I could be wrong, but I think she's pregnant. I don't think she's normally that well endowed. Either way, she should be seen and not heard.

Ah, so I wasn't the only one who noticed that. I remember hearing Mancow quite a bit on a morning show I used to listen to in the 90s. Thought he was kind of amusing and he certainly hadn't gone off the deep end as is apparent now.
Same thing with Glenn Beck. He was actually a little itsy bitsy of a smidge decent when I saw him on CNN Headline News. Then the guys hops over to Fox News and he's off into cooky loon land.

Agreed. I can't stand Jesse V. though anymore because he does the same shit in every interview I've heard him on. He just shouts down the opposing view and isn't concerned with any discussion of any subject including his views on the Twin Towers and how our government did the deed. It's too bad because he makes a lot of good points but deflects when he's cornered and starts raising his voice and making veiled threats.

Ahhh, that explains why a big titted freak got by me then. I'm like a 100% on spotting those due to my keen perception skills and training in the matter. Nice to know you can get a meal out of her though.

I've never had any doubt that waterboarding is torture. But I don't have any problem that notorious terrorists like Khalid Sheikh Mohammed were subjected to waterboarding, so long as their interrogators had reasonable grounds to believe that the suspects were aware of plans to launch an attack and conventional means of interrogation had not work.
If it had been my decision, I would have authorized the waterboarding under the circumstances outlined above, and not have lost a moment's sleep over it.

THOUSANDS have been through it as part of training, TC. They are not all lining up to complain about it.
