Dear Travis,

I'm running for Congress in 2010, and I need your help to defeat Michele Bachmann.

She built her political career in Minnesota exploiting wedge issues, and now she's taken it to the national level. Almost every day she shows up on Fox News to spread fear and division for political gain.

Enough is enough.

While Americans are suffering through a deep recession, Michele Bachmann knowingly uses extreme partisan rhetoric for political fame. Instead of working for ordinary Americans and responding to the needs of the people in the 6th District, Michele Bachmann relishes in the glitz of the 24-hour media. She knows that the more bizarre and outlandish statements she makes, the more attention she gets.

Her behavior is beyond embarrassing -- it's disgraceful.

We learned some important lessons after our narrow loss to Bachmann last November, and now we can't waste any time for 2010. In the first 3 months of 2009 alone, Bachmann raised over $300,000.

Make no mistake, she is organized, motivated and bolstered by the resources of the far right. They will work very hard to make gains in the mid-term election, and we will win only if we have a strong financial base to organize voters and fight her distortions.

I need your help. We don't have any time to lose. Please contribute, and together, we will end Michele Bachmann's disgraceful career in Congress.
