Bill Maher has seen the light. And it ain't pretty. GREAT article in the L.A. TImes about Obama. A must read!

Remember during the campaign when John McCain attacked Obama for acting like a celebrity and we all laughed at the grumpy old shellshocked fool? Well, it turns out he was right. Sorry, senator. I'm sending a nice gift basket of high-fiber muffins your way.

I was willing to give the guy the benefit of the doubt until I saw him take Brian Williams into his bedroom, and at the end of the bed there was a teleprompter and it said, "Who's your daddy?"

If Maher suddenly doesn't like Obama then maybe I need to re-evaluate what I think of him. (Obama.... not Maher)

Bill Maher has always refered to himself as an independent. I recall him attacking Clinton quite a bit in the 90's, then it was Bush's turn, now it's Obama's turn.

I think he is pretty funny, and I'm not at all suprised that he is taking shots at Obama.

Maher's studio audience is defintely liberal, but I think think Bill is a left leaning independent.

That's an old Groucho Marx line from the Groucho TV show. Groucho had a guy on the show who had six kids. When Groucho asked him why he had so many kids, the guy said "Well, I love my wife." Groucho says "Well, I love my cigar, but I take it out of my mouth once in a while."

he was a douche when he made religulous, he's a douche on his show... look anybody who thinks they've got all the answers, and pronounces with such self-righteous and smug cynicism that no matter what things suck... well there's always gonna be market from that bullshit... but it doesn't make it anything other than bullshit

the old quote from LBJ "anyone can tear down a barn, but it takes a craftsman to build one" seems appropriate here. Maher has always been, since his days on ABC, the classic, and cliche cynical curmudgeon... well, he plays one on tv... and you'll always have an audience by shitting on everything.

the problem for me with Maher is even in the moments where i agree with what he's saying, he's such a shining example of walking fertilizer that I can't be bothered to care.
