We techincally are not guaranteed the right to secession, I know it says that we should stand up in the face of a tyrannical gov't and that the USA was founded on secession, but these days it's impossible. The economies are too intermixed and it would never work. I hear you thouh, it ought to be allowed since we are a voluntary union of soverign States, just like our founding fathers wanted.

Take out the word voluntary...some of us were forced to stay, by force thanks to the tyrant Lincoln. Anyway, I am planning on buying my own island and seceding while Obama is president, b/c I firmly believe he'll want to "talk about it," while Bush would just shoot first and ask questions later.
