Were you in a cave for the entire 2008 year?
Well you must have been surrounded by some fairly intellegent and level headed people. The rest of us were surrounded by democrats.TwinTownBisonFan wrote:where i was, in 2008, gas prices were blamed on speculators, summer driving season, etc.bobbythekidd wrote:

Difference between NC ($2.65) and SC ($2.38-$2.47)? NC has been run by Dems since 1992.....MarkCCU wrote:Gas has been falling here. It was $2.47 Friday and now it's about $2.45.
was pointing out that those "sane and rational people" were in fact the Democrats you mocked...bobbythekidd wrote:*note to self. TTBF takes jokes personal*
Everyone blamed Bush. I stopped watching TV and listening to the radio last year because every other news segment was trying to blame Bush for gas pricesTwinTownBisonFan wrote:people blamed Bush??? i musta missed that... most people blamed speculation in the oil market and summer driving season...grizzaholic wrote:So, now that gas prices are rising again who is to be blamed now? It was a damn joke you overly sensitive tool. I took into account who I was talking to. I thought you may have had the ability to laugh at yourself every now and again. I guess I gave you too much credit. The note to self thing wasn't a big enough clue so you make me spell it out.TwinTownBisonFan wrote:was pointing out that those "sane and rational people" were in fact the Democrats you mocked...bobbythekidd wrote:*note to self. So Republicans like to pay higher gas prices? I'm not sure how 50% of the population could somehow manipulate the market and to what end.....Wedgebuster wrote:While it is easy to blame Bush for gas prices, I actually blame those who voted for him. If you're going to blame Bush for making them go up, give him the credit for putting the economy in the tank, driving down demand and pushing the supply/demand intersection lower.![]()
I think it was speculators, not politically driven IMHO.
I would accept some of this blame except that my choices were a tree or a patrician stiff. The village idiot look good in comparison.Wedgebuster wrote:While it is easy to blame Bush for gas prices, I actually blame those who voted for him.
