So, now that gas prices are rising again who is to be blamed now? Bush the brunt of it last time, will Obama take it in the shorts this time?

We've stabilized for the last few days at around $2.38 locally. Hope it stays here.

Well you must have been surrounded by some fairly intellegent and level headed people. The rest of us were surrounded by democrats.

Around $2.59 here. And speculators are probably the cause of this spike, as well.

I was on a Democratic Congressional campaign, and we shared an office with the Obama campaign...

Difference between NC ($2.65) and SC ($2.38-$2.47)? NC has been run by Dems since 1992.....

Everyone blamed Bush. I stopped watching TV and listening to the radio last year because every other news segment was trying to blame Bush for gas prices

While it is easy to blame Bush for gas prices, I actually blame those who voted for him. Now, the question is, who do we credit for the difference between fuel prices today and a year ago?

It was a damn joke you overly sensitive tool. I took into account who I was talking to. I thought you may have had the ability to laugh at yourself every now and again. I guess I gave you too much credit. The note to self thing wasn't a big enough clue so you make me spell it out.

Fucking douchebag.

So Republicans like to pay higher gas prices? I'm not sure how 50% of the population could somehow manipulate the market and to what end..... :?:

If you're going to blame Bush for making them go up, give him the credit for putting the economy in the tank, driving down demand and pushing the supply/demand intersection lower.

I think it was speculators, not politically driven IMHO.

I would accept some of this blame except that my choices were a tree or a patrician stiff. The village idiot look good in comparison.
