If they are hypocrites, then they aren't what they say they are.93henfan wrote:I'll have to go bass ackwards. I kind of like conservatism, but can't stand a lot of the hypocritical blowhards that preach it.

It's too bad he chose a carnival sideshow for his running mate, the result would have been a little less embarrassing if he hadn't.T-Dog wrote:Me, I'll use a cliche and say I'm a bit county and a bit rock and roll. I like aspects of both conservatism and liberalism. Both sides are guilty or forgetting the values they supposedly believe in so I pick and choose my leaders carefully. I voted mostly Democratic in the last election because I thought a lot of the local incumbent Republicans screwed up. But I voted for McCain because I thought he was just a bit more worthy than Obama, although both are more worthy than Bush and Kerry were in 2004.
Yeah, that pretty much sums up most of my thoughts on the subject. It's a lot of "do as I say, not as I do."Cleets Part 2 wrote:Appaholic wrote:Hate Conservatism (Social/Religious), like conservatism (fiscal/minimalist)
I agree with you...
Social conservatives confuse me more than anything - they seem to be focused on everything but themselves and their own actions...
And religious conservatives seem so closed minded about the beautiful possibilities and have a weird understanding of the concept of love
Fiscal Conservatives talk a good game but for some reason they really just don't end up doing what they say they're going to do... I wish they would... but they don't
And Minimalism is one of my favorite types of Art and also applies well to science and nature.. the simple answer is usually the correct answer..
Indeed. Even if McCain would have picked the best possible VP candidate, he probably still would have lost, but not decisively by 11 pm EST. The bad taste from the Bush administration screwed McCain and Obama capitalized on the want for change as well as someone could.Grizalltheway wrote:It's too bad he chose a carnival sideshow for his running mate, the result would have been a little less embarrassing if he hadn't.T-Dog wrote:Me, I'll use a cliche and say I'm a bit county and a bit rock and roll. You just expained why Truman was elected. Why Eisenhower was elected, why JFK was elected, why Carter was elected, why Reagan was elected.T-Dog wrote:The bad taste from the Bush administration screwed McCain and Obama capitalized on the want for change as well as someone could.

The voters want change; but nothing really changes.
I thought you laughed at them because your a hardline Republican who would have laughed at them no matter what as long as they are a Democrat.AZGrizFan wrote:bobbythekidd wrote:

Which is why I laugh at all the gullable **** who voted for Obama because of his "change" mantra. Damned sheep.
How quickly you forget T-Dog....now that AZ's appointed master & commander had his a$$ handed to him in the last election, he's a Liberterian.....T-Dog wrote:I thought you laughed at them because your a hardline Republican who would have laughed at them no matter what as long as they are a Democrat.AZGrizFan wrote:
