As if anybody didn't already know...
PARIS (Reuters Life!) – French tourists are the worst in the world, coming across as bad at foreign languages, tight-fisted and arrogant, according to a survey of 4,500 hotel owners across the world.
They finish in last place in the survey carried out for internet travel agency Expedia by polling company TNS Infratest, which said French holidaymakers don't speak local languages and are seen as impolite.

Although English is viewed as an international language, I'd have to believe Americans are way up the list as well. I've rarely seen Americans trying the local language either.

In my experience, most hotel staff just get annoyed by tourists trying to stumble through their language... since almost everyone in the hospitality industry speaks english...ASUG8 wrote:Although English is viewed as an international language, I'd have to believe Americans are way up the list as well. I watched a thing on ABC a while back where they had some stereotypical fat, loud, annoying people form America go to France and do some hidden camera work.
After they left the camera crew and producers would ask the French workers who were the worst tourists, and they said that locals are much worse than American's. Most of them said they love having American's come in because of the change they bring, and the way they find everything so interesting.
Eat that you fucking donks, the world loves American tourists.
