Obama Opts To Protect Cheney For 6 More Months..

Normally, ex-veeps only get six months of protection at taxpayer expense. But Cheney asked for an extension, and President Obama - whom Cheney has excoriated in several interviews since leaving office - recently signed off.

So he can immediately sign an extension for protection for Cheney, but hasn't found time to sign Presidential Decree discontinuing DADT?

Although Cheney is a douche sickle of magnanimous proportions this isn't a big deal. What I find a total waste of money is that we are also paying for protecting the The Slut Sisters Bush still.

Not much of a selection. Both parties love to spend our money. This just proves that when it comes to spending our money, the Republicans (Cheney) and the Democrats (Obama) are willing to work together in order to do so.

Gore and Quayle also received six monthc of SS protection after leaving office, as a result of similar "temporary" legislation tailored for their benefit. The Cheney legislation simply "permanently" codifies the benefit for all Vice Presidents beginning with Cheney.
