It's been said that politicians that would support the war should be willing to have their kids or grandkids go fight the war. It's not practical, but the sentiment is understandable. On the other hand, here is an idea that would actually be practical. Every politician that votes for Obama's healthcare "reform" bill should be willing to put themselves and their families in the very same system that ordinary Americans are going to be in. They won't be able to spend any more money than the average American on healthcare. That way, they won't be able to pay a ton of money to have their kid's or grandkid's pinworm problem tended to right away while others wait months in agonizing pain for a hip replacement. They also won't be allowed to have their own private physicians, either. They must experience healthcare exactly as the average American would. Maybe then we will have a more carefully crafted bill that includes real reform for lowering costs.

They would never do it. They are snob elitists who want to constantly dictate us on what we need, what we should do, how we should believe. They are all pathetic and IMO have forfeited what integrity they used to have the second they abandoned their voting constituents.

I think there is a Representative (John Fleming, IIRC), that has sponsored an amendment to do just that.
