Things are now going as well as the Democratic leaders had hoped...there was no Health Care reform bill passed before the August recess...now, even John Murtha is signaling it will not pass before January at the earliest...

And while speaking to Liberal bloggers and writers, Bill Clinton and others started preparing the liberal base for legislation without their most prized desire...government run health care...

On a serious note (and I do have a serious side I promise)
This debacle opened some eyes - closed some minds - slammed some doors - exposed some motives - wasted some time - provided some insight - clarified some positions and freaked out some retards

all in a months work..!!!
(okay that wasn't actually very serious... but I mean well)

It won’t be an easy sell. Even former national party chairman Howard Dean this week threatened Democrats who don’t support the public insurance plan with the prospect of primary challenges – the first rumblings of what could devolve into a Democratic civil war over health care .
Yes....yes. Must quash ALL independent thought. :coffee: :coffee: :coffee:

Rush Limbaugh (the beacon of independent thought) is running the Republican party from his throne - News Corp. - The source for galactic free thinkers...

Rush isn't the Party Chairman, junior. He's just another talking head that YOU folks put a lot more weight on than the vast majority of conservatives.

That might be the stupidest thing you've ever said...
POINT: He who controls the public opinion controls the party and 20 plus million LOVE him - face it - he's in charge and has been since Palin and McCain sh!t all over themselves...

I love how "level headed" republicans try (weakly) to pretend he's not the mouth piece for the entire group but it's way too late for that...

I've been watching you since I got back Cleets and it is quite funny how you've dug your heels in and put yourself in quite the elevated intellectual position of all others that have been motivated (however so) to start getting active. I don't listen to Rush but as you pointed out a lot of people do (20 Million) and yet even with a large audience like that it is a less than 15% of the country. I'm fairly sure that a fair portion of his audience listens because they hate him and want to hear what stupid things he says.

You've been ridiculing the public that has shown up at Town Hall's and so forth and taking the easy route to figuring why they are out there. It's Fox News, and it's Rush and the people are all retards and automatons that would have no concerns on their own. Is it at all possible that people are concerned with the staggering amount of money that has gone out the door in the last year by the politicians and people are motivated to try and not just sit idly by without trying to get some answers as to whether some of these outlays of money are the best way to go about things in our current situation?

Just sayin' buddy that you are a terrific verbal counter puncher but lately you've been initiating the attacks. I'm glad you're getting some good pussy but it seems to be making your thinking short sighted/truncated and you are exhibiting the very same "pea brained" & "retarded" answers that you are accusing others of.

I guess what I'm trying to ask you is...are you sure that you are not George Castanza?

About three weeks ago I had a small piece written by a professor at Duke (humanities or classics, I think) who had actually read a goodly portion of the health care bill. He highlighted some sections that spelled out answers to many common questions about the bill.

I was going to post it here this weekend, as it is very interesting and the language of the bill is fairly clear in the parts he points out.

Unfortunately, my aunt informed me today that Rush Limbaugh had gotten ahold of the document this past week and had read it on his show. Now I can't post it because somebody here might say Rush has been doing my thinking for me.

That is too bad CID but if it is from a good source then please post it. Rush, and all the others may be a good source FOR SOME things but are too polarizing and therefore of course the actual issue won't get discussed only the typical rhetoric from each side. I'd like to see it though so if you don't want to post it pm it to me if you would.

I realize that. But Rush NEVER was, and is just a tired old bloated drug infested talking head and I'm convinced the only people listening to him are paranoid liberals.

Sadly, you are underestimating the power of Rush - he IS the voice of the current Republican Party
