Why No One Believes Obama

Why SHOULD anyone believe Obama?

In numerous speeches, the President "...deplores 'scare tactics' but says that unless he gets his way, people will die. He praises temperate discourse but says many of his opponents are liars. He says Medicare is an exemplary program that validates government's prowess at running health systems. But he also says Medicare is unsustainable and going broke, and that he will pay for much of his reforms by eliminating the hundreds of billions of dollars of waste and fraud in this paragon of a program, and in Medicaid. He says Congress will cut Medicare (it will not) by $500 billion—without affecting benefits..."

On the 233rd day of his presidency, Barack Obama grabbed the country's lapels for the 263rd time—that was, as of last Wednesday, the count of his speeches, press conferences, town halls, interviews, and other public remarks. His speech to Congress was the 122nd time he had publicly discussed health care. Just 14 hours would pass before the 123rd, on Thursday morning. His incessant talking cannot combat what it has caused: An increasing number of Americans do not believe that he believes what he says.
Holy crap. That's just fucking ridiculous. And 263 public remarks in 233 days. Somebody just LOVES to hear himself talk.

agree....you know, just because you have an opinion on something trivial doesn't mean you have to share it with everyone...even if the media asks you too...that's what the media does, that's their job....

I just wish he'd learn that commenting on every penny-ante BS thing that happens in the media makes him look like he's hosting Access Hollywood, and not the President of the United States. :shake: :shake: :shake:

Obama has destroyed not only the Presidency, but the country as well. I have worked hard, volunteered my time and treasure, created businesses and made payroll and contributed to society my entire life, but according to Obama and his community activists it has not been enough.

While carrying the load, I am demonized by those who, for the most part, have not carried the load.

When I serve my country and later stand up for the Constitution, Obama's minion Janet Napolitano demonizes me as a potential terrorist.

When I stand up for LEGAL immigration and law and order, I am demonized as a liar and racist by Obama and racist organizations that support him.

When I stand up for free enterprise, I am branded as greedy and heartless, even though history shows consistently and conclusively that the poorest suffer the most when freedom and liberty are lacking.

I am not a lover of soulless corporations, but when Wall Street and the engines of economic productivity are demonized by the President (to cover his own political arse for the ongoing recession and potential depression) for problems created in the first place by politicians, he has marched a bridge too far.

It was bad enough that Obama demonized me and people like me during the campaign, but he continues to relentlessly do so in office, as he once again did last week in his speech to the AFL-CIO, and in countless speeches to special interest groups that place themselves ahead of the country and their fellow citizens.

Obama and his worshippers are creating their own worst hell and bringing everyone else down into it.

Please. :coffee: Obama has a long way to go before he even begins to deserve any of these historic comparisons that are made in reference to him and some "great" figure he's supposed to be like. I'm not saying he won't ever warrant the comparisons. Who knows? But he hasn't done anything yet, or gotten any results yet, that would even begin to bring him to that point. Time will tell, but I won't hold my breath. I betcha first AA POTUS is gonna be the only significant thing remembered about him.

Gee... Mr. Weenie McWhimperson... The whole - I built this country and now it hates me routine is beyond hysterical and old news (very old news)

I am white and 45
I've been handed everything in life - I've been given a free pass over and over again
Whenever I got in trouble I got another chance
Whenever I needed extra help it was there for me
Whenever I wanted to make a change there were dozens of easy opportunities

The system has been fabulously easy for me to navigate through - day by day - year after year - my life has been a reflection of a white man's dream come true...

And throughout my life I have been rewarded by people just like you - They award me for my success - my hard work - my perseverance... they see in me all that is wonderful about America and our great society and how all my fabulous attributes have created my success...

Bullsh!t...

You just keep thinking how hard it is and how victimized you are and how this country doesn't respect you enough... well I have news for you: You're a pussy in my book..!!!

This whole thing is a cake walk for the white male and the jig is up... we've been outed - but some of us can't let go of the "old script" and keep playing the deception game - well everybody is on to us (and Pat Buchanan) we've been caught - it was a nice run...

:coffee: ass you were gentlemen - I have to pretend I have "Hard Work" to get back to

Chizeets, while I agree with you on calling out the martyrs I have to call BS on parts of your post. Just because you have been given boutiful opportunities in this life does not make it the reality for every other white man in the country.

I've worked pretty hard to get to where I am and I'm proud of what I've accomplished. Part of my career was spent at a Fortune 500 company where they were actively looking to promote minorities and women and I had to work harder and smarter to get noticed and to get ahead. I didn't have a problem with the company actively working to put minorities and women in positions where they could succeed. Years of discrimination had made management a bastion of white males and the company needed to shake that up because diversity (of ideas and backgrounds) is good for business. When I hit my glass ceiling I didn't b!tch and moan, I moved on and created new opportunities.

I also realize that I was fortunate to be raised in a family that valued education and where it was expected that I would get the grades necessary to be accepted into and succeed in college. A lot of people aren't that fortunate and without that foundation they'll likely never get the chance to succeed in corporate America or as entreprenuers. That is why I believe that access to a quality education for all is critical to the long-term success of this country.

I also am willing to pay more in taxes to help support this country so that it can create opportunities (not entitlements) for those less fortunate to improve their lot in life. The million dollar quesion is how much more in taxes should I or anyone else who is successful pay?

Your life is but a single example of what can happen, it may or may not be representative of what the majority of white males have faced in their lives.
