In the interview with Couric, Beck shows he can be just as critical on Republicans as he has been on the current Democratic administration.
Couric:
Let me do a quick name game thing for you, can I? Just quick responses. "Hillary Clinton."
Beck:
I can't believe I'm saying this, I think I would have much preferred her as President and may have voted for her against John McCain.
Couric:
Why?
Beck:
Because I think John McCain is this weird progressive like Theodore Roosevelt was. I think John McCain would have been worse….how about this? I think John McCain would have been worse for the country than Barack Obama…how's that?

At least McCain might have vetoed some spending bills.
I don't think that McCain has the intellectual depth to be an effective "progressive" in TR's image. McCain-Feingold, for example, has proven to be an ill-considered disaster.

The election exposed quite a few things, namely that McCunt is not a smart man and the republicans are low class, violent and racist people.

Beck is quite critical of many things. Usually more dems than republicans, but he has thrown quite a bit at the rebublicans.

I don't see any evidence that McCain would have spent less. He jumped on the stimulus package faster than Obama and Donkutopia could blink.

"A weird progressive like Theodore Roosevelt"???? Yeah, thanks for the National Park system Teddy!......I'm sure that Conks would have thought of that one!
Glenn Beck is a quack in the time honored Conk tradition of Rush, Ann, and Sarah.

Yeah...TR was a horrible president....god forbid he keep his word about serving more than two terms as well as question the party status quo and force an open nomination process....

Do you have the ability to add anything to the discussion, or is it your charge to just stand in the corner and lob shit-bombs at people?

Is this a trick question?

Wow, Beck truly is an idiot. TR was a great president and shouldn't be compared in any way to McCain.

I understand your point, but McCain didn't seek or accept any porkulus earmarks. He had a better record on spending than any other candidate except probably Ron Paul.

Probably? McCain wasn't even in the same hemisphere as Dr. Paul when it came to spending, earmarks, and pork.

Agree...and what is wrong with earmarks? I'd rather the money be used for ONLY what it was approved for than to be put in a large kitty because they think they'll use it for this purpose...earmarks prevent waste by bringing attention to what it is funding....

Didn't say anything was wrong with them, I just said the two were far different in their use of them.

I admire Dr. paul, too! McCain may not be in the same universe as far as spending, but is indeed in the same universe as far as earmarks and pork.

Sorry Bob...rhetorical question directed at no one and everyone...
