Will Obama Meet Fellow Peace Prize Winners?

Post by Rob Iola »

Even if that includes the Dalai Lama? He reserves the right to meet with anyone, you know. Or has this topic (along with the Lama's countrymen) been beaten to death?

9 October, 2009 Office of the Special Envoy of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Washington, DC

His Holiness the Dalai Lama sent a letter of congratulations to President Obama today on being named the recipient of the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize.

His Holiness, who is in Washington, D.C., wrote to the President to say that he was pleased that the Nobel Committee had "recognized your approach towards resolving international conflicts through the wisdom and power of dialogue."
Big hitter, the Lama...

Obama won't meet with the Lama because he doesn't want to upset that other bastion of peace, China. :coffee:

Had I been a candidate and lost I might be bitter. But instead I, like others, am waiting for a list of tangible accomplishments for the current awardee. Failing such a list, the Nobel Peace prize attains the same level of importance as some Soap Opera Award.

All this award has done is serve to further separate / divide our country...
which has become comical to watch  we're like children

good times people... good times...
- Big 10 Football - So boring Wisconsin is our most exciting team...
- Big 10 Football - Where 117th ranked Purdue is dominant...
