CCU Baseball

We're #19 baby! With a record of 23-7, 5-2 in the conference, we put a beating on GWebb, 7-4. I think we can break into the Top 15, maybe even the Top 10.

Well, we lost 2 of the 3 games, but with a 30-9 record, that isn't too bad.

Damnit! This is all your fault. The only way to rectify this is to come to Charleston, let me treat YOU to a meal and a place to stay in hopes of reversering the curse. Otherwise, we'll have to sacrifice someone.

Yea this is pretty late in responding to CCU baseball since it has been over with for about a month give or take, but the season was disappointing overall. Yea Meo, Motter and Bowman have bright futures and had great freshmen seasons, and David Anderson had another monster season, but we missed the "starw that stirs our drink" Scott Woodward for most of the year and that clearly hurt the offensive chemistry. With that being said, I think Scott may have lost his leadoff spot to CF Rico Noel. Noel was 48 out of 51 in the stolen base category and batted .315 Either way it is a good problem for Coach Gilmore to have starting next season. We also missed Bobby Gagg b/c, to be blunt, he is an idiot and a head case.

Now we need to wait for the Mets 2nd round pick, Steven Matz, to decide if he will come to Conway or go to his hometown team....
