Wisconsin (2-3, 0-2 Big Ten), sitting at the bottom of the Big Ten West Division standings, fired HC Paul Christ today. Yesterday, they lost 34-10 at home against Illinois, coached by former Wisconsin HC Bret Bielema. The previous losses were a blowout to OH State and Pac-12 historic bottom-feeder WA State. Their wins are against lackluster IL State and the long-ready for relegation NM State. Yet his overall record at his alma mater is somewhat impressive: 67-26 with three Big Ten West Division titles. The Badgers have slid back into the pack in recent years, with a 9-8 Big Ten Conference record since COVID hit. His buyout is $16.4M if he's fired without cause. DC Jim Leonhard will take the reins as interim HC.
