2024 NAIA Football Playoffs

Post by SuperHornet »

I'm highly steamed that 16 Southeastern (FL) (7-2, 4-2 The Sun) didn't get in. I think their game against FL Memorial that was cancelled due to one of those hurricanes cost the Fire. SMH....

I believe that Southeastern is the highest ranked school not to get in. Traditional NAIA power Dordt (IA) is also out, despite being ranked 18th. NAIA hasn't yet stated where the first round winners will go in the second round or if there are any further byes in the tournament. Last year, there were no further byes and the first round winners played at seeds 1-4. While I'm sure that MT-based small college fans will be happy with two teams getting in, they'll not be so pleased that Carroll (MT) failed to get in after dropping out of the Top 25 following the season closer.

Seeds

1. Keiser (FL) (9-0)
2. Grand View (IA) (10-0)
3. IN Wesleyan (10-1)

As a Rocky Mountain College alum, it never disappoints me when Carroll doesn't get in the playoffs, especially when they think they deserved a spot. I need to find a crying towel and send it to them.
