Western Illinois' mens athletic teams have been called the Leathernecks,
while the womens teams have gone by the name "Westerwinds".
I thought I had read somewhere that they had a seperate name for the womens programs because the Marine Corps (aka the Fighting Leathernecks) preferred that the name be used for just the mens programs.
I wonder if the school sought permission of the Corps for the change.

I love OPR, and I don't know why you can't listen everyday during the offseason, but there are just some shows during the non football/basketball seasons (ok a lot of them) that I just don't have interest in.
