In the Big South Conference Tourney, #1 seeded CCU beat #6 seed VMI 11-2 yesterday and #3 seed radford 11-9 today (10 run 2nd for CCU then we fell asleep) to move to 49-7 (27-0).

CCU rallied from a 6-1 deficit to beat high point 15-9. CCU is now 50-7 (28-0). They play for the Big South Conference Title tomorrow afternoon after Liberty plays High Point - winner faces us and has to beat us twice.

CONWAY, S.C. - The Coastal Carolina University baseball team earned the number four national seed and will host the College of Charleston, North Carolina State and Stony Brook in the 2010 NCAA Myrtle Beach Baseball Regional, it was announced today. The Chanticleers earned a national seed for the first time in the program's history.
Coastal Carolina will start the regional Friday, June 4 at 1 p.m., against Stony Brook. The College of Charleston and North Carolina State will play that night at 7 p.m.
Coastal Carolina is coming off winning its fourth straight Big South Tournament title after defeating Liberty 8-2 in the championship game. The Chanticleers have won a school-record 51 games and were a perfect 25-0 in the Big South regular season. Sophomore Anthony Meo (Cranston, R.I./Cranston West) was named the Big South Pitcher of the Year, while classmate Daniel Bowman (Bridgewater, Va./Turner Ashby) was named the Big South Tournament's Most Valuable Player.
The College of Charleston enters the regional with a 42-17 overall record and a 22-8 record in the Southern. The Cougars are led by Cole Rakar's .369 batting average and Matt Leeds' 20 home runs. The Cougars' Kevin Decker is 7-0 with a 3.79 earned-run average and 60 strikeouts in 73.2 innings pitched. The Chants and Cougars played twice this season, with the College of Charleston coming out on top 5-4 March 16 in Charleston and 10-4 May 18 in Conway.
North Carolina State is coming off a berth in the Atlantic Coast Conference championship game. The Wolfpack defeated Virginia Tech 10-9 in 10 innings to advance to the championship game against Florida State. The Wolfpack are led by Kyle Wilson's .381 average while Drew Poulk has 13 home runs on the year. Jake Buchanan is 8-5 with a 3.65 ERA. Coastal Carolina defeated N.C. State 6-3 Feb. 28 at Baseball at the Beach at BB&T Coastal Field.

CCU wins their Regional by beating CofC 8-7 last night on a walk-off 2 run HR and then wins in extra innings 11-10 today.

CCU lost to South Carolina 4-3 and 10-9 to lose in the Myrtle Beach Super Regional. CCU finished the season at 55-10.
