Lynn King, athletic director at University of the Pacific for the past 11 years, and a complete refusnik to the idea of restoring UOP's proud football tradition, has stepped down, supposedly to become a "Special Assistant to the President" focusing on risk management. Personally, I think UOP's president just wants to keep an eye on him after he botched the Beckett Brennan rape case.
King is a UNI alum and a former associate AD for facilities there. I would be eternally grateful if UNI would take him back. UOP desperately needs football back, and it won't happen with King still on campus.
