As far as I know he wasn't but he coached quite a few in his prime namely one Lee Calhoun he was one of the first men that went under 14 seconds in the high hurdles.My father lived up to the ripe old age of 94 so and I have something in common anybody else in your family in that age bracket if so they should consider themselves extremely fortunate.
