As FSA said in another thread, Tulane is joining the Big East as a full member, and East Carolina will join as a football-only associate. This all supposedly goes down in 2014.
While I'm not exactly a fan of Scott Van Pelt, he does bring up a good point (see the video in the linked article). The Big East now seems to be the neo-C-USA. Essentially, the C-USA has shed the old label for the new en masse in a TV revenue money-grab. So the question is: How are they getting away with this?
Food for thought.

Tulane/ECU to the Big East

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Will the television companies really pay the same amount to the "new Big East"?SuperHornet wrote:As FSA said in another thread, Tulane is joining the Big East as a full member, and East Carolina will join as a football-only associate. This all supposedly goes down in 2014.

The schools seem to think so. But that remains to be seen.
My best guess: NOT ON YOUR LIFE!
