there were five players vs. coaches brawls

The players should have taken care of this a long time ago. They must not have beaten their asses as badly as they should have. I think the coaches should be able to say about anything they want. The minute they grab/hit/shove, they are crossing a line IMHO and should be held accountable. In the military, they can say anything they want to you for the most part but they never grab/hit/shove you at all. Seems like they have been able to get people to do some pretty tough stuff without assulting anyone. Coaches are leaders, or should be and these guys are not leaders. :coffee:

Some celebs weight in on Rice's firing:

"I never saw this coming, Coach Rice seemed so nice over the phone." - Manti Te'o

"The firing was deserved, you are supposed to hit guys on the other team." - Woody Hayes

"Dude got fired for practice, not a game, we're talking about practice!" - Allen Iverson

What branch were you in? :coffee:

Man, I got grabbed and shoved on a near daily basis, at least in the first two phases of basic. No real serious punching or choking, but they'd rough you up pretty good. Polson can report on the 70s. I heard it was quite a bit worse back then.

I was in the Army from 1987-1991 and I never saw anyone get grabbed or shoved for normal stuff, even when we deployed. Now that I think about it, one guy got grabbed on the firing line in basic with a weapon because he was a dumbass and unsafe. But that is a different scenario that just not following normal instructions. Then again, Marines do need a little more attention/discipline :kisswink:

While Eric Murdoch is investigated by the FBI for attempting to extort $950K outta Rutgers, Tim Pernetti walks with a cool $1.2M. Well done Tim & best of luck. :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

I assume that you are being facetious. If Tim had done his job in December he'd still have a job today.
