The Louisiana Tech athletic department released photos of the new helmet design for the football team in 2013, along with a preview of the special helmet the Bulldogs will wear in their Heart of Dallas Classic game against Army on Sept. 28 in the Cotton Bowl. The game will also serve as Louisiana Tech's annual Military Appreciation Day, with extra promotions to highlight the men and women who serve in the U.S. military.
The stars-and-stripes get a big from me. I'm tired of that trend in college football. Enough already! It was bad when Rutgers did it and this is just as bad.

I was fortunately unaware of this trend, but for once I'll agree with rk. This design is ugly as heck....
SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.
