Re: New Orleans Bowl
I hope you enjoyed it but I guess you can expect a competitive game when two teams that are just about as bad play each other. By that I mean they were both below average FBS teams but about to the same degree below average. For instance at the Composite Ranking list at http://www.masseyratings.com/cf/compare.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; as it stands right now (considering games through the December 14) ULL is rated 73rd of 125 FBS teams and Tulane is rated 77th.
Just kind of illustrates the absurdity of the Bowl system. Neither one of those teams belonged in post season play of any kind. With the win over Tulane ULL ended with 9 wins. But in those composite ratings the teams ULL beat are rated 94th, 104th, 71st, 80th, 116th, 91st, 122nd, and 77th. And they beat the 81st rated team in FCS.
Meanwhile they lost by 21 to the 37th rated team, by 21 to the 84th rated team, and by 22 to the 81st rated team in FBS.
A bad FBS team playing another bad FBS team in a bad bowl. That's what that was.

Well, I believe that I must tell the truth

But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?
