Yep. After spotting them a 21-3 lead, Florida State dominated that exhibition.

True. FSU wins 6-7 out of 10 on a neutral field.

Point still stands though, Auburn blew numerous chances to win the game, and will have to live with that.

Also someone else made the point that FSU wouln't have gone undefeated in the SEC, which is probably true. But in the SEC you can still make the NC game with 1 loss.

Well, no one is going to be able to start a "which SEC team wins the NC this year" poll. Or a "which team from the state of Albama wins the NC this yr" poll.

But they can start a:
"Which team from Alabama/FL wins the NC this year (those 2 neighboring states have won 6 straight and 7 of 8).
or a
"Which team from the South wins the NC this year" (teams from the south have won 9 straight).
05' TX
06' FL
07' LSU
08' FL
09' Bama
10' Auburn
11' Bama
12' Bama
13' FSU

Final BCS Championship Game is One for the Ages
Epic FSU-Auburn tilt draws 25.6 million viewers

College football’s oft-derided Bowl Championship Series went out on a high note Monday night, as the thrilling Florida State-Auburn showdown proved to be one of the most-watched programs in cable history.

According to Nielsen live-plus-same-day data, ESPN’s coverage of the sixteenth and final BCS title game delivered an average 25.6 million viewers and a 14.4 household rating. When the simulcasts on ESPN2 and ESPNews are factored in, FSU’s 34-31 win drew 26.1 million viewers and a 14.8 rating.

Any way you slice it, the FSU-Auburn telecast now stands as the third-biggest draw on any cable network.

Providing the Noles would have been in the SEC East, I'd take their chance. Of course all the 30+ point boat races would be out the window.

Everyone said TAMU wouldn't be able to compete in the SEC, and they managed to go 10-2 in their first season. :coffee:
