The Connecticut-based website SportzEdge.com has been doing an NCAA Tournament-style logo challenge, where fans vote for the best team logos in the country.
It is formatted so that the team with the most votes from each of the 32 conferences will be given an "automatic bid" to the Round of 64, and the 32 highest vote-getting schools after that, regardless of conference affiliation, will receive an "at-large" bid.
FCS schools and other small conferences have been doing quite well in this challenge, and the Round of 64 has just begun. The Citadel, Wofford, VMI, and Western Carolina all advanced from the SoCon (with the latter two receiving over 100,000 votes, five times more than any other school). Other notable FCS teams left remaining include Western/Southern/Eastern Illinois, Tenn Tech, Campbell, Bucknell, St. Francis (PA), Cornell, YSU, and McNeese.
You can see all the matchups here, and click on the links that follow to vote for each school:

Youngstown's getting their shells kicked....

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.
