Wow I was looking around at other top FCS programs and Montana has 9 players on NFL rosters right now. That might be the most I've ever seen from a I-AA/FCS school on NFL rosters.

What the hell is wrong with you guys?

I'm sorry, but that implies an EXTREMELY high talent level for a FCS program and you guys aren't living up to it.

Eastern Washington, by comparison, has TWO.

Yup, you called it! :notworthy:
Nah. I picked Oregon because I just couldn't pull the trigger considering that quarterback Oregon had. But I DID note that there was reason for concern for Oregon because they looked weak on defense and looked like a team with a good physical running game could push their defense around.

You SHOULD be piling on Montana for having all that talent for a FCS program and not doing better.

So a quarterback winning a professional championship AND a professional title game MVP isn't good enough for you? Starting a professional career 7-0 isn't good enough, JSO?

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Coaching. Hauck and his staff were great recruiters, but for whatever reason always shit the bed in the semifinals or later. And the CAA teams he lost to weren't exactly Pop Warner level talent-wise.

I'm talking about the COLLEGE team not doing better. Not that they've done badly. But I'm telling you I've followed numbers of players in the NFL by college for years, periodically checking and such, I I don't think I've EVER seen that many players from one I-AA/FCS team in the NFL.

And BTW after watching him play in an all star game I think that defensive end from this past year's Montana team is going to make an NFL roster too. We'll see. But that guy looked good.

This list is from 2012, and Appy had 11 players in the NFL at that time.

Ok I missed that. I just periodically check the numbers at http://espn.go.com/nfl/college/_/letter/m" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. It's a dynamic list and it depends on when you look at it. Like right now Appalachian State's got six listed there.

I don't think I've ever seen as many as nine like Montana has right now listed for a I-AA/FCS team at that particular site before but, of course, that doesn't mean it hasn't happened.

Depends on when you look too. Like if you look at it during the summer before they trim their rosters down there are more NFL players overall so more from each school on average. Typically I'm not looking at it then. I tend to look at it during mid to late season.
