Someday.. Willie is going to snap. I suspect SE174 will be at the top of the list.

No. Like I said, sports don't control my life. I used to get pretty worked up when I was actually playing, but there was reason for it.

I'm not convinced they get #2 either.BlueHen86 wrote:Wow, so now you are quoting yourself.Willie wrote:![]()
Boise doesn't have to be number 1, 2 will do just fine.
I think Oregon, Oklahoma, Auburn, and Boise are the top 4, with Alabama right on their heels.

Boise will not finish ahead of any unbeaten from a BCS conference, but there is a long way to go. Many of the unbeatens will likely fall before the season is out. Boise might finish ahead of a 1 loss Alabama or Nebraska.clenz wrote:I'm not convinced they get #2 either.BlueHen86 wrote:

Re: The Door May Be Opening for Boise
Boise is #3 in the BCS rankings
Re: The Door May Be Opening for Boise
Oregon in #2
Re: The Door May Be Opening for Boise
That means Oklahoma is #1
Re: The Door May Be Opening for Boise
They will finish a head of Nebraska. Alabama I'm no so sure off though, depending how they run through the rest of the SECBlueHen86 wrote:Boise will not finish ahead of any unbeaten from a BCS conference, but there is a long way to go. But Virginia Tech won yesterday and is now ranked.tampajag wrote:A one loss Bama means wins over a possible one loss or undefeated LSU and Auburn. Tough to ignore that. Especially when you take into account that Boise's only ranked opponent lost yesterday.
I think there is a good chance that Alabama leapfrogs over Boise if both win out, which is why I hate the BCS as much as I do.

However, Alabama, even with their loss, has been more impressive this season...IMHO.

Re: The Door May Be Opening for Boise
Alabama's good, but shitting the bed against SoCar was not a good idea. I think they'll split w/ LSU and Auburn. Both are solid teams.. I'm guessing they'll beat LSU, lose to Auburn, even though it's a home game.
I'm still not sure about the hype of Oklahoma.. I'm guessing they're getting a lot of credit for beating Florida State handily. A couple tough games left for them, and presumably, the Big 12 championship as well.
Auburn is a funny schedule.. they padded their schedule with some patsies in LA-Monroe, Chattanooga, and ARK St, plus an iffy Clemson team. This will come back to hurt them, IMO.
TCU could get a late season boost by beating Utah on the road.
Boise is firmly in the driver's seat and should finish undefeated again.

Re: The Door May Be Opening for Boise
I'll say it again, the reason TCU is behind Boise, and as low as they are right now, is ONLY because Boise won the bowl game last season.

Boise has two good wins, while TCU has 1 good win.clenz wrote:I'll say it again, the reason TCU is behind Boise, and as low as they are right now, is ONLY because Boise won the bowl game last season.

Funny that people are tooting Auburn's horn. They needed a miracle against a bad South Carolina team. Auburn's D would give up 120 points to Boise.

That may be, but they have an offense that could score 121 if neededeagleskins wrote:Funny that people are tooting Auburn's horn. They needed a miracle against a bad South Carolina team. Auburn's D would give up 120 points to Boise.

Re: The Door May Be Opening for Boise
Why is Oklahoma rated so high?
They BARELY beat a Utah State team that would be 5th in the Big Sky. Unfortunately, Boise won't get the chance to put up 50 on Utah State until Dec 4th.
They BARELY beat a mediocre Cincy team.
OU has "big wins" over an over-rated Florida State and Texas (who, was destroyed by Cal, who was destroyed by NEVADA).
OU plays in a league that is way down this year. Hopefully, Missouri will kick the stuffing out of them this week.

That same Texas team went into Nebraska and owned that game this past weekend.dbackjon wrote:Why is Oklahoma rated so high?

Oh, and as for the TCU/Boise State thing. Boise Started the season ranked higher because they beat TCU last year. Had TCU won that game last year, you can bet they would be flipped with BSU right now

Oklahoma is good. They have beaten Florida St, Texas, and Cincy. All good wins. You cannot argue that Texas and FSU are not good teams.dbackjon wrote:Why is Oklahoma rated so high?

Re: The Door May Be Opening for Boise
If you're gonna criticize a team, you might want to get their opponents right, UCLA beat Texas not Cal. But Texas going to Nebraska and controlling the Huskers makes your point moot.dbackjon wrote:Why is Oklahoma rated so high?

And FSU is world's better than their showing in Norman.

Boise donesn't have to worry about Oklahoma, that team isn't good enough to go undefeated.
