Delaware was desperate. The CAA is a pretty evenly matched league this year. It seems like anyone can beat anyone. Even Penn State is hanging in most of their losses.

Stony Brook survived their ugliest game in the last 5 seasons beating Binghamton 17-16. SBU had 30 turnovers and 8 minutes in penalities but managed to win. Jordan Mc Bride had 7 goals on 10 shots. SBU is now 8-3 and 3-0 in America East. Next game is at Albany next Saturday.

Towson beats #7 Drexel 8-7, 4th straight win. My Tigers move to 5-5 and 3-0 in CAA play. We should crack the top 20 this week.

ESPNU was great this weekend for college LAX; nothing like watching some college LAX with your son right after he's played it. What I would have given to have been in Baltimore this past Saturday.

Personally, I enjoyed the Army vs. Navy game the most. Hey, if we can't beat Navy on the football field we might as well do it on the LAX field. From what I could tell the size and enthusiasm of the crowd was very good. Although I do think that Navy got hosed on that last shot. It looked to me like that Navy player was pushed into the crease as he was shooting. Referees saw it differently I guess.

Good game nonetheless.

Did you see the play that I was referring to? If so, what is your opinion? Do you think the goal should have counted? Did the refs miss something?

I didn't see the game. I had two games and it was sunny and 60 so I decided to mow the lawn. I didn't even know there were games on.

You win the door prize.

It was pretty clear though that the Army player pushed him into the crease as he was in the act of shooting outside the crease. The announcers felt the goal should have counted. I'd have to agree in this case.

Glad Army won though.

In the late 80's and early 90's the Gait brothers perfected that dive shot. Gary Gait used to go over the top of the back of the net and "slam it". I palyed crease defense in HS so I really have no sympathy for guys allowing themselves to get pushed in.

Let me get this straight...
#20 UMass gets beat by #25 Delaware -> moves up to #18
#21 Towson beats #11 Drexel -> moves up to #20
Drexel moves UP to #10
Delaware only moves to #24

Something is wrong with the computer formula :?
"Elaine, you're from Baltimore, right?"
"Yes, well, Towson actually."

If you go to the Computer Ratings page in the link on my post, it explains how they come up with the rating...

I'm not saying it makes sense...I'm not saying I agree with it... :?

It's just weird that two teams that go beat by lesser rated teams move up.

Hopkins getting beat by Maryland kills their season. This might be the season we beat those F'ers!

Big win for the Minutemen today as #16 UMass defeated #10 Georgetown 13 - 12 in the ESPNU Warrior Classic ...
The win is a big boost for the Minutemen (8-4) as Greg Cannella's squad looks to return to the NCAA Tournament for the second year in a row. Saturday's thriller featured eight ties and five lead changes including three in the fourth quarter in front of the crowd of 6,415.

Georgetown falls to 7-5 overall with Big East games vs. Rutgers and Villanova remaining.

Stony Brook won the America East Regular Season Title tonight-defeating Albany 15-0 at Albany. SBU is 9-3 and 4-0 in America East play. I have never seen a D-1 lax game end in a shutout. Final game of the season next Saturday at home against Vermont 7pm. Albany was back on their heels all night.

Wow! After defeating #12 UMass last weekend, Delaware defeats #11 Drexel this weekend. If they beat Penn State next weekend, they'll be the #2 seed in the CAA tourney.

Yup we suck. All of our scorers are hurt and/or not playing (unknown reasons).

I still dont know what to say. I expected a low scoring 2 or 3 goal affair- like 10-8 or somewhere in that area. It sounded like the Danes just lost their fight and they took nearly 30 shots. Hope things turn around for you guys. :thumb:

This season is long gone. I just hope it doesn't somehow change the position we were in with our recruiting classes the next two years (the Thompson brothers).
