Except it's not a fumble recovery if it's blown dead. That's like saying they had two interceptions that weren't caught. :coffee:

That would be true if it weren't for the fact that those fumbles actually occurred. Kinda like interceptions that were actually caught but but were ruled incomplete. :coffee:

Crazy year. Assuming we win out we'll have one conference loss and finish third due to the Troy head-to-head and no conference championship game. This is some BS.

I did not think it was possible for us to make a coaching hire worse than Brian VanDouchebag, but we may have actually done it.

Our first-team all-SBC center and our freshman all-American honorable mention left tackle and our capable returning left guard look like they don't belong in Division I.

Matt Breida was leading the FBS all-time in yards per carry and he looks like a scrub. Maybe the best front 7 we've ever had can't get any pressure on the QB and isn't even doing that great at run-stopping.

If you hired someone to intentionally destroy a football program, they wouldn't have done as good of a job as Tyler Sumners has. :ohno:

So what is worse? Sucking in FCS or sucking in non-P5 FBS?

LoL. Going to take a hell of a lot more than one shitty head coaching hire and 1 (or 2 or 3) bad years of football for me to wish I was back in the FCS.

We'd be anywhere from 4-4 or 6-2 at the very best in the SoCon this year, anyways and we would get to the quarterfinals in the playoffs at the very best. Not going to get all wistful over that thought.

Apparently sucking in G5 is better. ESPN has decided to pick up our game with Troy and Arky State vs Texas State to air them on ESPN2 instead of FCS playoff games.

At least you're sticking with a team who won the SBC one season. We're a measly 19-4 in conference play for our first three years with a bowl win but sadly no championship. :ohno:

UGAy is paying Arkansas State $1.8M for a game in 2019.

For comparison, ETSU is getting $550K to open the 2020 season in Athens. :?

We've been through this many times before. Revenues increase when I-AA/FCS teams move to I-A/FBS but expenses increase more. The net is a net loss.

I-AA/FCS schools do not improve their net financial picture by moving to I-A/FBS.
Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?
