College football is a fickle game.

We get skull drug out of Boone with our tails between out legs. The next week, App gives up 41 points, 450 yards, and needs divine intervention to keep from losing to Troy by two scores...in Boone.

We go to Troy yesterday, barely give up 200 yards of offense, hold them to 3 offensive points, and beat them by 5 TD's.

I love this game.

The Troy guys will tell you that they rarely play a full game, but they did in Boone.

Friday sees Troy @ Georgia State. Georgia State can actually still become bowl eligible if they beat Troy and Georgia Southern. Let that sink in for a few

Saturday:

UL-L @ App State. Old guard vs New. ULL needs to win out to get bowl eligible. ASU is still in the title hunt.
South Alabama @ Georgia Southern. USA needs to win to get bowl eligible. GSU is still in the title hunt
Arkansas State @ NMSU - Ark State is leading the Sun Belt by a game.

And in the "Still should be in FCS" Bowl - Texas State travels to Idaho.

I'm actually making my first home game in the last two seasons this weekend. The weekend post turkey day generally draws pretty poorly with the students out. Hopefully we can get 15-16K.

Any team that has initials other than GSU (proper) or ASU are competing at a much lower level than we are. All our conference wins have been by at least 3TD's. State will be lucky to keep it within 4.
