With 1 loss, my guess is they will drop behind all of the other one loss teams.... possibly behind some of the 2 loss teams pending the outcomes of their respective game today, hopefully they'll drop below Nevada who should move up. BSU may be overrated, they may play a cupcake schedule, but when it comes down to playing the OOC schedule/bowl games vs "top tier" programs, they show up, they don't get blown out. What if they played a Pac10, Big10, SEC schedule? Who knows, I think they'd still be a top team in their division, but they wouldn't be undefeated going deep into the season every other year.

Boise is an elite team this year, and this loss doesn't "prove" anything. They are just as good as Oregon and Auburn, and they deserved a title shot had they not lost this game.

Teams always lose tough conf road games like this. In any conference. These games are incredibly difficult.

Bet Nevada's REALLY kicking themselves in the ass for losing to Hawaii now.... :ohno: :ohno: :ohno:

that Pac 10 cellar dweller nearly beat the number one team in the country. Nevada handled them pretty easily

And I might give them credit for it, except that they got destroyed by USC, Stanford, Oregon State, and needed a late TD to beat WSU.

Hell yes they are. I've watched probably 100 or so college football games this year, the top 10 at least twice each...and I would take Boise straight up against any other team this year.

This is the ridiculousness that permeates this region of the country. If Auburn loses the SEC champ game, a ton of people will say they still should go to the MNC game. Is South Carolina that much better than Nevada? No. But good luck trying to convice any of these people.

Boise is an elite team. Until last night they'd beaten the 24 teams on their schedule, including an elite Oregon team, an elite TCU team, and a perennial winner in VaTech. They can't control their conference, or the fact that none of the "big boy" will play them. No one wants to be Oregon last year or VaTech this year. So until that culture changes, you BCS homers will continue on with your retarded "they don't play anyone" mantra. If you guys think the ACC and Big East are elite conference that deserve their spot in the BCS you're crazy. The Big East has never been deserving of having a spot at the table.. their best teams are constantly destroyed in their BCS games, and UConn this year will be no different. Boise State's AD has been openly lobbying for anyone to play the Broncos.. no one really wants to take him up on the offer, even his highness Gordon Gee.

TCU may be an elite team. Boise clearly is not.

Elite teams don't blow 17-point leads & miss multiple short field goals in important games against non-elite opponents.

As if Nevada's "horrible." They one of the biggest jerks in the history of the game as a coach, but horrible they are NOT.

Yeah. Not to mention Bama has 3 losses, so they aren't elite either.

In the Western states, Chris Ault is known as one of the meanest coaches in history, on a par with Woody Hayes and George Halas. There were short-lived rumors that he could move to Sac after Volek was unjustly canned, and even the fans who didn't like Volek didn't want Ault, either.

Really? They are the defending BCS National Champs, and they are 9-3 playing in the SEC; if they aren't elite then none of the teams Auburn played this year are elite.

This. I'm not a fan of the BCS at all but I LOLed at Boise when they blew it.
Maybe they will actually recruit a kicker now instead of depending on a walk-on to fill the position.

You realize Chris Ault is one of the greatest college coaches of all time, right? Hall of Fame coach? If you can't handle mean in football, take up soccer with the rest of the girls.
