Blocked FG by LSU and a nice return. Bama beating themselves still.

Instead of saying "Delay of Game" the ref should say "Delay of Game of the Century." Show some respect, asshole.

Which one? There were a few. Bama kicker better go in hiding for a couple months so he doesn't get Escobar'd.

Didn't watch most of the game, that was the only FG attempt (I use that term loosely) I saw.

On a related note, I think 9-6 was the score I predicted when someone asked me why I wasn't very interested in this game.

The OSU/KSU game was equally entertaining...

Boise getting a game from Houck's hapless UNLV squad right now... (doubtful it will last)

Sorry, but I think this was the "Lame of the Century". 9-6 in OT, 5 FG's made and 4 missed. :ohno:

It was really hard to tell if the offenses looked bad because of the great defenses, or the defenses looked great because of the crappy offenses. I don't mind great defense, but 4 missed FG's leave me thinking that this game was too sloppy to be considered a great game.

Great defenses.

LSU and Alabama both have pretty good offenses #11 and #12 nationally in scoring offense.... and not against crap competition. Both defenses are just otherworldly, though.

Understood. On the other hand, how many times was LSU going to run the same play right into 5 Alabama defenders for 1 yard or no gain. I think the offenses showed the defenses too much respect.

I intentionally did not watch this crap game. Dayton @ Liberty would be more entertaining, IMO. I HATE the SEC....

Alabama hasn't really played that good of a schedule.

Kent State, Penn State, North Texas, Arkasas, Florida, Vandy, Ole Miss, and Tennessee. There is one....maybe 2 good wins in that.

Kent State, North Texas, Vandy, Ol Miss, and Tennessee are are pretty bad teams....and Florida really isn't far behind.

Penn State and Arkansas are the only two wins that jump out at me as "impressive"

Well, I was pulling for LSU of course and it sure was good to see the OTHER team be the one to move the ball better but fail to take advantage of its opportunities. Usually it's the team I'm pulling for that does that.

Also glad that thing near the LSU goal line was called an interception and not a catch based on simultaneous possession. I was actually surprised that the replay call was "confirmed" rather than "the ruling on the field stands." So I guess by whatever rules are involved it really was an interception.

Makes the future more uncertain BCS wise as the chances of LSU losing before the end of the season are better than the chances Alabama would. LSU still has to play Arkansas and if both teams win their conference games in between Arkansas will be alive for a tie for the SEC west.

Alabama did throw the ball pretty much (29 attempts) and I don't blame LSU for playing close to the vest. That's what they've done all year. They win largely with defense and kicking game. Alabama's got a NFL secondary and LSU's quarterbacks aren't the greatest if they have to throw it so as long as they're keeping it close there's no reason to let Alabama get the edge by throwing more interceptions than they did as it was. Alabama was getting a better pass rush than LSU was so for LSU throwing the ball was dangerous. Just play defense and let that Austrailian Rules Football guy they have at punter keep giving Alabama the long field (except for one time).

But maybe that's what he's doing.

Does anybody want to see a rematch in the BCS title game?

My thoughts:
If LSU and Boise are the only two undefeated teams left I'd rather this be the matchup. I don't think an undefeated Boise should get leapfrogged by a once beaten team, but they probably will.
If LSU is the only unbeaten and Oregon and Alabama each have 1 loss I'd rather see an LSU - Oregon rematch.

Obviously both Stanford and Oklahoma State would have to lose before any of the above could happen. Both have tough games left, Stanford has to play Oregon and Oklahoma State has to play Oklahoma. They would also have to play conference championship games.

There is still a long way to go.

That Chris Landry guy you hear on national Fox radio (I think it's Fox radio) is based in Baton Rouge and I listen to a who he co-hosts locally each weekday afternoon. He is also a Harris Poll voter. He says he thinks Boise State doesn't get enough credit for taking care of business every weak but at the same time he says there's no way he would vote Boise State into the top two over one loss teams from leagues like the SEC and Big 12. His opinion going into this week is that, assuming they win out from here, the loser of the LSU/Alabama game would probably end up playing Boise State in the Sugar Bowl. That would be an interesting matchup and I'd have to say Alabama is the best team in the SEC. I know LSU won last night and I'm glad they did but I do think that if I'm somebody from another conference and if you ask me who I'd like my chances better against between LSU and Alabama I'd say LSU.
