Yeah, traditional D-III powers Mount Union and WI-Whitewater are both in at 10-0. I'm shocked ever year at how many teams get in with undefeated records in D-III.

But what might be more of interest (particularly for our Hen fans) is this intriguing matchup in the lower left corner of the bracket:

Norwich (7-3) @ Delaware Valley (10-0).

Are these guys "for real?" I'd really like to see someone other than Whitewater (upper left corner of the bracket) take on Mount Union (lower right) in the finals....

Actually, this Hen fan and native Delawarean is pulling for Dover's own Wesley College.

Wesley lost to WI-Whitewater in the semis last year and Mt Union in the semis in 2009.

I'am pulling for a MAJOR UPSET if Montclair St (NJ)gets into the D3 playoffs and manages to make it that far to the national title game!!!!!!!!

If next week's pairings look weird, they'll probably be corrected tomorrow. I was going off the pattern established in the first round, but the Centre game review at d3football.com indicates that the NCAA will publish site and time tomorrow, so weird abnormalities like #2 Mount Union playing on the road in the Sweet 16 will likely be corrected at that time.

St. Thomas will win the title this year. Saw them play against my alma mater in September. That team is fucking stacked. They've got a few D-I dropdowns, including the punter from Iowa State and 2 linebackers from Minnesota.

St. Thomas is making the jump to D-II and aiming at FCS in the next decade. It will happen, their school is growing like wildfire.

I have a hard time believing that a group of upstarts can get past Mount Union. Larry Kehres is one of the best football coaches in the history of the game, and he can recruit D-III like anyone's business.

Some undefeates went down in this week's Sweet 16. Interesting side note is that the St. John Fisher Cardinals move on after knocking off a previously unbeated team for the second week in a row, this time with a new QB since the original starter was injured last week.

They have Mount Union as an underdog at home in a playoff semifinal. Kind of not TOO shocking because Mount Union has had some close games this year. Not as overwhelmingly dominant as usual. But still shocking. Mount Union has lost at home in at least one playoff semifinal before. I remember Mary Hardin Baylor doing it a few years back. But it hasn't been done often.
