Auburn is going to be on the outside. Not only did they get soundly beat by LSU, in many peoples mind they too lost to Georgia, just winning by a fluke.
With Mizzou winning tonight Alabama is officially eliminated from the conversation.
Looks like a blah FSU-OSU title game. Personally I don't think anybody is/was beating the Seminoles.

Again I think FSU drills whoever they play but are we just supposed to forget Auburn scoring a garbage time TD to ONlY lose by 2 TD's to a mediocre LSU team?clenz wrote:those that know the bcs computer system say that if Auburn wins next week they jump OSUbluehenbillk wrote:Auburn is going to be on the outside. The ACC is making FSU look better than they really are. The best team FSU beat all year was Clemson, and they were handled by the (at best) fourth best team in the SEC.
I think the SEC champ can beat FSU...Ohio State would get steamrolled, though.

OSU had played a very soft schedule...the Big10 is pretty bad...and I'm a big 10 fan.
Auburn has had a far more impressive schedule

Saban argued for a review to put 1 second on the clock to make that FG attempt.

Amazing finish.

Nick Saban said in his press conference that he has never seen that game winning play before he should ask Chicago and San Diego both of those teams used that strategy to win games in the NFL.Grizalltheway wrote:Holy. ****. ****.

Re: Auburn/Alabama
I WILL say that I told my son before the play that I would not try a field goal. Of course my reason was that there's a risk that it would be BLOCKED and returned for a TD. Remember Auburn had already blocked one Alabama field goal. I'd have done the Hail Mary thing. I was surprised when Alabama opted to try a field goal.
But I never imagined it would end up burning them THAT way.

BTW, notice how we come in on the end of a discussion in that first video with the Auburn radio call. They were talking about Davis being back in the end zone. And one said something about "Well I guess if this thing comes up short he can field it and run it out."
A coach made a decision to put that guy back there for that contingency. Kudos coach Malzahn. Or maybe it's kudos to whoever is in charge of special teams for Auburn.

True dat, STO. But in most systems, the "big" decisions like that are in the hands of the HC. The job of the assistants is to make suggestions. Unless the STC took a chance and snuck the dude in there without the HC's knowledge, in which case he's risking his job if it fails and it's something the HC would not have approved.JohnStOnge wrote:BTW, notice how we come in on the end of a discussion in that first video with the Auburn radio call. SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Re: Auburn/Alabama
Seems like there are a ton of staged, DVR replay reaction videos out there. How many people really set up cameras to watch their reactions during live broadcast football games? The bar reactions are legit, but I'm guessing 95+% of the living room videos are staged replay videos.

Re: Auburn/Alabama
its really quick to set up cell phones to record video, and the last kick did take about 10 mins with the review and the timeouts and all. Not saying that all of them are real, but its not out of the question that they could be legit.93henfan wrote:Seems like there are a ton of staged, DVR replay reaction videos out there. Re: Auburn/Alabama
It is Auburn/Alabama tho, probably wanted to catch the reaction of Alabama making the field goal which would have been a great ending to the game in itself. There are plenty of fake ones out there, and blatantly obvious too but not all of them. If I was was a fan of either team and I was at a party with both fans I probably would have been recording the end sequence as well.Ibanez wrote:This is what I told some people. Re: Auburn/Alabama
I'm frequently skeptical of homemade video in general. Having two young sons who love America's Funniest Home Videos, I've made a game with my mom of calling out which ones are fake/staged. I'd estimate at least a third of the clips were staged and then sent it. People getting injured/taking hard falls: almost all real. People with little kids doing cute/funny things: frequently staged. People reacting to crazy things/getting scared: about 60/40 staged.Ibanez wrote:This is what I told some people.
