One of the NC TV news facebook feeds had an announcement about the win

I dropped with some thing like "I thought App dropped football or moved to a different division. Aren't they D-2 or something like that now?"

Try reading the MMB sometime. Halfway through the game last night people were trashing our QB, OL and receiving corps.

Nothing that I saw. Imagine the crow that would have been eaten? In fairness though, that board is where the hardest core App fans reside. So they can get a little over the top. I've never registered or posted there, but it does have some good information.

I never wanted UD to move "up" but as other Hen posters have shared, it's probably the only option if UD wants to bring people back to the fan base.

I also was hoping there would have been more of a three way split in DI by now where top I-AA teams would all join up with lower I-A teams to form a middle conference. I guess that's sort of happening slowly with ArkSt, Troy, AppSt, GSU, GsU, ODU, UMass, CCU... A few more dominoes and nobody of note will be left in I-AA.

I agree. I'd like to see it. I loved having seen App in a Bowl game, and winning it. But a hybrid division, with a playoff involved, would be the best solution.
