App State 14
ODU 0
1:38 in 1st

ODU's gameplan seems to be to go for it on 4th down every time. 0-2 so far.

He's done a good job. Really can't judge him until another two years. We are still young and start two walk-on linebackers. We are going through the pain Appy and WKU went through a few years ago, just without as many losses. But I don't know if we will come out the other side as successful. It's an interesting comparison though. Having a new program, I don't think we can afford to have 0-2 win seasons.

Nice game Appy. You put us in a hole early that we couldn't dig out of.
Not sure what kind of barometer we are for you though.

Conference seems to be winning more OOC games this year but Georgia St is back in the cellar and Arkansas St and ULL are starting slow. I am hoping TXST gets going with their new coach after expected back to back losses to Arkansas and Houston. The road win against Ohio was promising.

You might can beat Arkansas, Houston probably not.

Arkansas barely beat La Tech and TCU certainly doesn't look all that great so far.

I am hoping to hang with Arkansas and give them a scare. Pull off the win and I'll build a statue of Withers.

Houston will be a rough one. They absolutely killed us last year. But that with Fran gone I am hoping maybe it is not as ugly.

Hosting a Top 25 P5 team in Boone this weekend.

Would never have been possible in FCS and the SoCon.

No shit Sherlock

Now you're in a league where a national championship isn't possible

Is it really a National Championship if you aren't at the highest level, though? :coffee:

I mean, if the G5 schools crowned some sort of "National G5 Champion" at the end of the year.... would that have any meaning at all? No.....

And, apologies to Bill Nicholson, but...

OddsShark has Appy State winning ~35-26 even though all the books have the line at -3.5 to -4 Miami.

http://www.oddsshark.com/ncaaf/miami-fl ... 016-729743

I think Appy State wins the game. Miami has been perpetually overrated the past ten years. The typical thug who plays for Miami has no character, and if Appy pushes a lead into the fourth quarter, I could see the Miami thugs quitting and pouting and the game turning into a bit of a runaway at the end.

Of course it's still a NC.

I don't think Jelly was complaining when we did the back to back to back in '05-'07. You can only win the games you play and they wouldn't let us play Texas, Florida, or LSU then.
