Yes they have and really need to keep it going in hopes of an at large big if they don't win the conference championship. UTA is the only conference series left with a team over 100 on the RPI list. Some big games left the Bobcats could really use to boost their RPI are Texas, Texas A&M, Baylor, and Rice.dgreco wrote:Texas State has been on a nice run.

GSU beats WCU in 2 of 3. Sloppy series by both teams...too many errors and men left on base.

New Regional rankings
Division I
1. Boston College 22-12
2. Bryant 25-10
2. Rhode Island 19-12-1
4. Northeastern 17-11
5. Dartmouth 14-10
Also Receiving Votes: Connecticut, Maine.
I think if we won the last two NYIT games and the second Brown game we might be #1. Hopefully if we can sweep through Northeastern, BC, and FAU we will move up to #1 in the region.

Re: NCAA baseball
JMU is back above .500 at 19-17 overall and 6-6 in the CAA after taking 2 of 3 from VCU this weekend. Currently in 7th in the CAA.
UGA is back in the number one spot after sweeping Kentucky this weekend and moving to a 29-6 overall record and an 11-4 SEC record putting them two games ahead of Florida in the SEC standings. Big game tonight vs #11 Georgia Tech and then a huge three game weekend series vs #5 Arkansas this weekend which is already sold out. Of the final 12 home games this year, 11 of them will be facing top 25 teams.
Rich Poythress .430 BA, 48 R, 58 H, 16 HR, 60 RBI, 115 TB, .852 SLG%, .988 FLD%
This guy could potentially be player of the year and set UGA all time records. Last year, Gordon Beckham set the UGA home run record with 28 HR along with 77 RBI and a .411 BA... Poythress looks set to pass him in total RBI and possibly BA. If he keeps hitting the way he has been, he could potentially pass Beckham in total HRs in the last 21 games plus the potential to hit more if the Dawgs play well in the post season.

UGA pretty much got stomped by GT last night... it was 8-2 at one point and the game ended up 11-6. Dogs drop to 29-7 with a huge weekend series vs Arkansas. UGA seems to be struggling against ranked opponents this year, hopefully they can take 2 of 3 this weekend.

Yeah my bad dude, my buddy told me it was spring break, turns out it WASN'T spring break yet, but leading into it. I'll be back down there again soon enough. Can you believe Weaver D's didn't have any fucking meat when we tried to go!?!?!?! Honestly, who runs out of meat.

Guess he wasn't "Automatic for the people" that day... I'm a grad student, I have no vacations or holidays... I think if I told my boss I was going on spring break he would laugh and tell me that was a great joke followed by asking me when I would like to meet next week to discuss data.

Great win. It will boost their RPI and help the SLCs RPI.

Re: NCAA baseball

Bryant falls to FAU 9-5 in game one. They were up 5-3 in the 7th, but blew it in the 7th and 8th. They are now 27-11 on the season. Two games tomorrow.

Southern's series with UAPB has been delayed, but the Jags have already qualified for the SWAC tourney.

Re: NCAA baseball
JMU has been on a very nice win streak to get them back in contention in the CAA. Winning 8-7 over the Deleware Blue Hens last night when Chris Johnson hit a single to knock in the winning run in the top of the 10th. This was the Duke Dogs 5th straight win improving them to a 22-17 overall record and 7-6 in the CAA. JMU should have handily won this game as they were up 7-0 until UD had a 7 run 6th inning to tie the game up. Game two this afternoon at 2 vs the Hens.
#2 UGA pulled out a close one vs #5 Arkansas last night in the bottom of the 9th. Tied 3-3 in the top of the 9th with two outs and a runner on third, Arkansas hit an infield ground ball which the UGA short stop proceeded to bobble hindering him from making the play at first... BUT, he still had time to rocket the ball home and the dawgs were able to tag out the runner from third. Bottom of the 9th, UGA pinch hitter freshman Johnathan Taylor walked and then advanced to second on a throwing error... Matt Ceroni proceeded to hit a walk off double. Dawgs win 4-3. UGA is now 30-7 on the season and 12-4 in the SEC, with a one game lead over LSU for first in the SEC. Game two at 1 this afternoon.
