ECU Debuts New Logo at Midfield tonight against VT

What do you guys think? Not digging it, plus the logo is not centered on the field (although the skull is). Looks wierd to me.

People will just say it is typical of ECU. A skull with no room for a brain.

No, but not for lack of effort, it was a good try. But, because you're living in Iowa we know that in your mind you've gone to Carolina.

I like it. But it might be because an ex girlfriend of mine goes there, and she's at the game tonight.

Disregarding the quality of the logo, it's basically a 30-yard-long graphical depiction of East Carolina's inferiority complex compared to their in-state ACC brethren. Typically it's your big preeminent state schools that use their state's logo at midfield/midcourt, not smaller and more regional schools like ECU. It's textbook Little Brother Syndrome, an attempt at elevating themselves to the same level of prestige and parity as UNC by using state identity where it doesn't really fit. It's about as goofy as someone like Baylor putting a huge-ass logo of the Lonestar State at the 50 yard line.
