No problem and welcome.

Torn on this. Would like to see TCU win, but hard to root against old conference mate

TCU is frustrating me. I think they need to just get physical with Boise State when they're on offense. Boise State is not stopping them when they just run the football. They need to stick with it. They have better, more physical athletes and they need to exploit that.

That's what they did last year, by the way. They quit screwing around and just got physical running the football. When they did Boise State was helpless.

So far TCU has lined up in the I and run right at Boise State once. They made about 7 yards on the play and have yet to go back to it.

They just need to quit screwing around on offense and trying to play finesse. They have a huge physical advantage and they're not utilizing it. It's kind of amazing. Last year they ground Boise State into the ground by running the football and all indications so far tonight is that they could do the same thing. But they're just not attempting it. They keep trying to be cute.

See what I mean? They make five yards running the football right at Boise State on first down then line up in an empty backfield on second and five, botch the snap, and kill the drive. I'm telling you Boise State cannot stop them from running the football. They just for some reason won't do it.

TCU game plan from the start should've been to make Boise State show they can stop the run. Instead they've screwed around and gotten 10 points down so now if they get down more they won't be able to go to what they should've been going to from the start of the game.

Boise D is handling what TCU is trying to do easily so far

10-7 BSU now....like Jon, I'm torn. I want TCU to win because of what it will ultimately do to the BCS, but I really would like to see BSU beat what was considered to be a top 5 team in the country.

Who's the fucking dead guy in the referees uniform? Right out of tales from the crypt? Jesus H. Christ, he is a BSU homer dead skeleton guy. Knocking down a pass is now pass interference??

:ohno: :ohno: :ohno:

Is this a set up to keep the non anointed, non anointed?

Yeah, TCU looks a little too relaxed, but they are fighting fifteen at a time instead of eleven.

Money talks and BS walks, even if it takes a deaf, dumb, and blind corpse as referee calling shit in favor of the establishment.

I am definitely for TCU. I also want to see them hold Boise under 21 (for selfish, and vindicating, reasons) but don't know if that is possible.

TCUs looking better at the end of the half but I agree with JSO, they need to just get down to business.

Yeah. I think I see that sometimes. You have a team that designs its offense in a certain way and won't go away from it but TCU is WAY bigger than Boise State up front. Plus they had the experience of pounding Boise State's defense last season. You'd think that they'd have at least TRIED to take up where they left off and see if Boise State could stop them. My impression in the first half is that when they did just run the ball at Boise State they had good sucess but they didn't do it much. And they'd do stuff like make five yards on first down then go away from the run on second down. I can only remember one time where they ran the ball twice consecutively on first and second down and they easily made the first down when they did it.

Don't outsmart yourself, I always say. If you're bigger, stronger, and more athletic than the other team just get physical with them instead of trying to finesse them.

Yup. The TCU line is huge and was pushing the Bronco line around on a few of those runs. TCUs been throwing the short dump passes to their quick WR in hopes a breakaway. It got them a first down the first time they ran it and now they keep going back to it even though its not working.

Work the ground then throw a quick strike.

I remember when McNeese was I-A they played in an Independence Bowl against a Syracuse team that had Joe Morris and Art Monk on it. In the first half Syracuse ran its normal offensive mix, trying to do different things, get outside, throw the football, etc. McNeese had a very fast defense and the game was only 3-0 at halftime.

The second half Syracuse decided just to take advantage of its size advantage with its offensive line vs. McNeese's defensive front and just kept pounding Morris and their big, physical QB between the tackles. They didn't have big plays but they just kept getting 3, 4 or 5 yards every time. Just mashing. They got out to a 17-7 lead and McNeese had to get desperate. Final score was a little deceptive at 31-7, as Syracuse got a couple of cheap scores late on interceptions at desperation time. But the point is that Syracuse finally stopped being cute and just took advantage of its size. Their coach even talked about it. That's what got them into total control of the game.
