That's exactly why I thought he might say YES. Lucas isn't making movies much anymore, and it's yet another revenue stream for an aging movie franchise.

On the other hand, I don't even think Ole Miss fans/administration are dumb enough to select Ackbar as a mascot. I hope this whole thing is a joke.

Exactly. EWU is praying this happens to take away at least some of those pointing and laughing.

Also, this is probably the most PC-friendly idea they could use and still be the Rebels. I seriously doubt the Mon Calimari will protest this as they're in a galaxy far away and could be extinct for all we know.
