It's kinda eerie that I have the urge to post at the same time as you, on the same topic. It's like we're long-lost brothers or something.

Conference RPI's
1 - Pac 10
2 - SEC
3 - Big XII
4 - ACC
5 - Big West
6 - Southland
Don't need to go any further. You can diss on our football but you have little room to criticize the baseball.

Top "FCS" schools
Nolan's RPI/SoS

TXST 25/31
Boyd's RPI/SoS
The Cit 6/57
Coastal 13/55
TXST 24/23

Boyd's SLC top 5 RPI a/o May 3
TXST - 35 (28-14, 16-8)
SLU - 49
NWS - 62
SFA - 95
McNeese - 96
These are the top 5 teams in the SLC (not in the above order) and some of them have a better overall record than TXST but our OOC keeps us higher and almost guarantees an NCAA berth with 12 games left to go. We have # 25 Rice and # 16 TCU to go yet. (RPI rank #s)
Our OOC included
Rice - lost and play 5/4
Tech - split
A&M - split
Baylor (1/3 inc a tourney loss)
Houston (we swept)
UT - lost 2 by 1 run each
Penn State (we swept)
WKU - L
TCU - L (away - next game is home)
Playing those schools, and winning at times, only helps our RPI because some of the conference teams (and other traditional foes) are way down the RPI ranks.

Thanks. So far, so good, but we'll see down the stretch and in the post season.
