Why did Boise get snubbed?

Because in the end Colorado, Kansas, and Kansas St are worth more.
These schools are more stable in the long run and provide a "bigger" school name to the conference.

What market does Boise State bring in? Boise, ID and then what? Kansas, Colorado, etc... all have bigger markets that would be associated with it

Right, but no one can argue that those schools have had better football seasons this decade. That is the point of Jon's post, not money/ tv markets, he's asking about football.

'Football' is not the major driving factor behind expansion. 'Money' is the major driving factor behind expansion. And the bulk of the money is with football, more specifically BCS football. Both of which do not apply to Boise State.

There's still a great shot that Boise St. gets in. I think Colorado is still getting the P10 invite and there is a decent chance that Kansas and Kansas St. go to the BE. Even if they go to the MWC BSU, KU, KSU would make 12. Basically CU is the only one that could fuck it up. There's also a chance that they'd take Baylor or Iowa St. and BSU if CU,KU,KSU go to put them at 14. MWC said they are even discussing 16.

Both Kansas schools will end up in the MWC.

Jon, I wouldnt' say BSU got snubbed.
The MWC might still very well invite them. It's just a matter of seeing how things shake up with the Big 12...since they are a BCS conference.
The MWC might end up with KU and KSU for 11 members. Sure, if Colorado were available, they'd be the #10 school. If it's Baylor on the outs, perhaps they are brought in with KU and KSU. But nothing says that the MWC, if they got 3 B12 schools, would stop at 12 when they could add Boise St. and another school for 14.
More importantly, football is driving expansion. But it's football in the sense of markets too. For the MWC, it's football driven...and getting a BCS bid. Kansas, KSU and Colorado/Baylor would likely make the MWC a BCS conference.
Boise St. fans should eventually find their school in the MWC...just not this week.
