This is the kid I keep talking up about being utilized more in his Fullback roll. Campbell's quotes our coaches as saying the tandem of FB McVaney and TE McClendon is the best they have had and they plan on working them this year. Good to hear.

The College Summer leagues have tournaments whose winners go to a world series.

The Foresters (we have 3 guys on the team) just won the 2010 Rawlings California Cup Tournament. Jeff McVaney was named the MVP of the tourny.

The Foresters move on to the NBC World Series in Wichita, KS.

I guess I'll see them there, I'll be sure to keep a look out.

It runs July 30 - Aug 13. Don't know if McVaney will even be able to take part. It would be a bit weird to have to leave mid WS. Football starts Aug 6 and I doubt Coach Wright would be thrilled to have his (more than likely) starting FB miss the first week of practice.
That said, Kubitza and Smith should be there.
