VCU set to host Verizon Wireless VCU Shootout

The 54-hole tournament will be played on Hermitage's prestigious Manakin Course, a 6,955-yard, par 72 layout.
UNC Wilmington held off a late charge from Virginia to secure a five-stroke victory in last year's Shootout. The top returning individuals from 2009 will be Sam Beach of Richmond, Harold Varner of East Carolina and Blake Redmond of Virginia Tech, who tied for fourth at 1-over.
VCU placed seventh (+19) in last season's field and will feature a lineup with three new starters.
The first two rounds will be played on Monday, Sept. 27, beginning with an 8:45 a.m. shotgun start. The final round begins on Tuesday at 8:45 a.m. Live scoring will be available via Golfstat.com.
