It's now 21-10 and Oregon has recovered a surprise onside kick.

21-17 now.

Whoever wins this game will definitely be a factor in the BCS Championship, it's been fun to watch. Oregon has done a good job making some adjustments on defense at halftime to take away Stanford's ground game, it will be interesting to see how the rest of it plays out.

They have to run their offense, if for no other reason than player safety, all the way to the end of the game.

If you need an explination on the saftey aspect of it. If you tell the players to "let up" and start changing styles players will start to get tenative, which leads to injuries on a football field.

perhaps, but if Stanford was up by 50 they woulda tried to score on Oregon if there was just 5 seconds left... so when it comes to doing that against Jim Harbaugh... Im all for it.

u referring to the late td? If so no reason to attack that. They handed the ball off to a guy who had 4 carries on season coming in... so definitely down the depth chart... and the kid cant be expected to take a knee at the 5 just to not hurt the other teams feelings... clenz: Under normal circumstances, I would agree with you. And it probably WILL come back to bite Boise in the rear. But as the OUTSIDERS, Boise needs anything they can get. I hate to get Macchiavellian here, but in Boise's case, one has to accept it. That doesn't mean I have to like it, though.

No, clenz. You stick your scout team in early. Not only does that USUALLY even the game out somewhat, it keeps your starters from going down (and screwing up your season) in a nothing game. Boise's in the unique position, however, that if they DON'T blow people out, it'll be held against them by the elitists.

im usually one for not liking teams doing this... but the final oregon TD came on a 70+ yard run... Its not like the team was airing it out... if u cant stop them tough... no player should have to take a knee at the 5 to save the other teams feelings... Additionally... its not like Oregon was playing a bottom feeder... they were playi8ng the #9 team in the nation and only up 2 TDs.. 2 TDs can disappear QUICK under the right circumstances... Oregon did notjhing wrong tonite... and again.. even if they did... fuck it... it was against Jim Harbaugh which makes it ok

Boise is the best team and it isn't even close. They will 2 hole any team they play, much like Utah did Alabama 2 years ago.

I thought same thing about Penn State before they beat Miami in the 1987 Fiesta Bowl. There is a reason that they play on the game on the field. FBS needs a playoff, otherwise their champ is a fraud.
