actually it wouldn't. Just like last year's Fiesta Bowl, there is no way to tell how good those teams really are unless they play an Auburn/Oregon/Alabama/ conference champion that isn't from the Big Easy or ACCBlueHen86 wrote:Another week, another team passes Boise. I had a feeling that TCU would jump them, but I thought it would happen after the Utah game.
I am also okay with this. I'd love to see TCU in the BCS Championship game. I'd be happy with any non-BCS conference team making it. Boise St vs either TCU or Utah would be the best possible outcome.
I think it would. A Boise vs. TCU/Utah BCS championship game would make the BCS conference teams reconsider a playoff. They would argue that they need a playoff because strength of schedule puts their teams are at an unfair advantage under the current system.youngterrier wrote:actually it wouldn't. Losing the bowl game to a Boise team that returned everyone will do that. Is there any reason to think TCU is better than they were last year? The Baylor win looks good now, but will lose some polish after they lose to Okie State and OU. Their win over Oregon State was no better than Boise's win over Oregon State. I'm not saying TCU isn't a good team, but do you think they are better than last year?clenz wrote:I've been a big support of TCU, and have been shocked at the lack of outcry there has been for TCU.
Go Frogs!
I do believe TCU is better than last year.89Hen wrote:Losing the bowl game to a Boise team that returned everyone will do that. Is there any reason to think TCU is better than they were last year? Bottom line... do you know how much it's gonna suck to have Boise vs TCU in the second place bowl again this year? It would be their third straight bowl pairing.

Yes.89Hen wrote:Do you think Boise is better than last year?clenz wrote:I do believe TCU is better than last year.
I'm honestly not making a case for Boise being better than TCU, I'm just trying to show why Boise is getting more "outcry" than TCU. I haven't seen TCU play a single down... which ALSO speaks to why Boise gets more attention. They've had at least three games on national TV. Add in two BCS bowl wins... it's pretty easy to see why they're the poster child for BCS bashing.clenz wrote:I see what you are going for, and that doesn't change the fact I feel TCU is the stronger team, and more deserving at this point.
Not really.MrTitleist wrote:TCU's SOS is way better than Boise's, up and down the schedule.
Did 89Hen just make an argument using a computer generated ranking system?89Hen wrote:Not really.MrTitleist wrote:TCU's SOS is way better than Boise's, up and down the schedule.![]()
Sagarin has TCU with the #72 schedule and Boise with #74.
Not at all. They were rectifying their mistake from the week prior.Willie wrote:Oregon jumping Auburn was surprising.

Only because there is no human ranking of the schedules. My own raking shows that Utah and Boise's schedules are pretty much the same.AZGrizFan wrote:Did 89Hen just make an argument using a computer generated ranking system?![]()
Not by much this year.Willie wrote:SEC > PACScreamin_Eagle174 wrote:

You're joking right? Other than Oregon and MAYBE Oregon State, who is worth a shit in the PAC this year?Grizalltheway wrote:Not by much this year.Willie wrote: SEC > PAC

Ah, for some reason I always forget them.youngterrier wrote:Stanford and ArizonaWillie wrote: You're joking right? Other than Oregon and MAYBE Oregon State, who is worth a shit in the PAC this year?
That doesn't automatically mean Auburn is better than Oregon.Willie wrote:Ah, for some reason I always forget them.youngterrier wrote: Stanford and Arizona
Either way, the SEC > PAC, still.
