Was it somehow harder to recruit to Colorado than Boise?

I knew he was a dead man walking once he started his son at quarterback. That rant was classic though.

I'd like to see Colorado go after McCartney.

Since when is that bad? What do world champions Tony Dungy, Kurt Warner, Reggie White, Orel Hershiser, and Tom Landry have in common?

Jesus.

Jesus.

I really, really doubt that Jesus cares about who wins games.

Reggie White was a racist bigot, so I doubt he really understood Jesus to begin with.

And for every one on your list, I could quote dozens of partiers that won World Championships. Babe Ruth was a drunk womanizer. He had lots of rings.

Jon, you see the difference here? Wedgey's saying that Jesus guarantees athletic failure. You're saying that Jesus doesn't care.

Those are two diametrically opposed statements. The answer is somewhere in the middle. There is no proof that Jesus guarantees failure in any area. But He doesn't guarantee success, either. MY point was that McCartney's a good coach AND has good character. While character doesn't guarantee success, one WITHOUT character is soon out of a job.

How could Jesus care about sports? He's dead.

I think what Wedgie was referring to was the fact that McCartney gave up coaching for the Promise Keepers. Now, 16 years later, and at age 70, doubtful he could get back into coaching effectively

He didn't say anything about the time gap, Jon. That makes a whole lot more sense than what he said.

Come to think of it, Jon, you've been making more sense than a lot of people here lately....

Also, Tim Tebow is proof that Jesus doesn't care about sports.. I mean, he's on the bench behind Kyle Orton!!

That has nothing to do with Jesus. It has EVERYTHING to do with Josh McDaniel being an ignoramus.
